End of Year Update - PART 1

Hey Hunters!
Long time no see. We are back with this Pre-Christmas update and hopefully all of you are enjoying this magical time of the year. As it would have been a longer one, we will make this a two parter. In this first part we will address the most important bits of information... the pledge manager of course... as well as a few other things that have been on our agenda in the past month. And in the second part, which will most likely come next week, we will have a content update on some scenario information as well as some community voting. This being said, expect the next update to come end of January.
Before we go to the elephant in the room, we just need to address and explain the Updates situation. We will have an update at least once a month for you guys. We have always been fully transparent with the state of our project and with everything we have been doing thus far and we plan to remain transparent and give you all the information we are given. This has been one of the main priorities we always had as a team even before the start of the campaign. This also means that you can always share your opinions, excitement or troubles either in comments or anywhere else (e.g. email) and we will always answer or try to help if we can.
PLEDGE MANAGER
We have decided to postpone the pledge manager to the beginning of the next year, probably around the time the next update comes, where specific information will be given to you about it.
Now the important thing to know here is that we are still fully on time with schedule as things are looking now and there is no need to worry. We are in no need to rush the pledge manager yet. Things are progressing fine and game is being developed to our expectations. Now, we still feel it is important to tell you our reasoning behind it for all those wondering.
1. We do not have enough information about shipping. Now yes, we already gave you estimates during the campaign and those have not changed much. But there are also other aspects like freights, customs, VAT etc. that come into play and we would very like to have everything confirmed before we open the PM and charge you for it.
2. Some of you have specifically asked us to postpone the PM or at least make it last longer because it is December. We fully understood that as December is a time when there are a lot of expenses and there is little reason to give you an additional one. Since we are in no rush with PM as we established, we thus decided to postpone it a few months and give you a time to 'recover' so to say :D
ART UPDATE
In the meantime we have been working on various areas, art included. First of all, we know you have still not seen the miniature for the Necromancer. The reason for it is that our 3D artist, we have been working with so far has gotten too busy with his daily job and everyday life. But he was transparent with it and even introduced us to another great 3D artist which will now continue his work and 'legacy' :D
But we do have something to show you as our 2D art department has been working hard. Currently we are working on finishing art for all of the townsfolk cards, which will each get their own art and make game more aesthetically pleasing. We have also made an illustration for the last missing character, which you guys chose to be added to the game.
Of course we are talking about your beloved Spellblade. For this art we have been closely working with our backer Justin, whose idea was to create Spellblade in the first place. Thus we have followed your selection which has won in the last community poll and asked Justin to give some of his wishes/suggestion to hopefully create a unique and cool illustration for all of you. This is the final result and we hope you like it. Definitely let us know what you think.
WEBSITE REWORK + EVENTS/PLAYTESTING ONGOING
There was also a lot of work done on the new website. It is unfortunately not yet published so we cannot show you the improvements yet. However we decided to host it ourselves and to program it from scratch, giving us more freedom to operate and most importantly improving the loading speed tenfold.
We are also active with the game development. We are making improvements to the game's rules and are having some local events where we are showcasing the prototype to the people. Just this next Saturday we are invited to the local event here in Slovenia called Winter Wonderland. So anyone in vacinity is more than welcome to visit and join us there :)

Hey Hunters!
It's the end of October and the start of Halloween and the spooky season! We are also finally back and ready to get going again after a bit of a break. To explain a little bit to you guys...
We have spent the last four and a half years giving our heart and soul to Silver Coin: Age of Monster Hunters and, of course, a lot of our personal stuff has fallen by the wayside. Family matters, daily jobs/university we have, etc. After the Kickstarter, we finally found some time to devote to these things and it took a bit longer than expected to get everything in order. But in October, most things are already done and we have already started dedicating our time to the Silver Coin :D
We will also do a monthly update in the last week of the month to give you all the important information about the game and its phase.
Now that we have shifted gears, we will again put all our efforts and time into these focus areas:
Negotiation with manufacturers
Getting licensing and localization deals
Setting up the Pledge Manager
Development of all KS stretch and social goals
Playtesting and finishing design
Logistics and Fulfilment
Optimization of Processes
It is going to be a bit of a longer update so bear with us or jump to the sections which interest you the most. To start the update we have some minor updates for you guys:
ESSEN SPIEL 23
Some of you have been asking whether or not we were attending SPIEL 23. This year, unfortunately, we were not there in person. But we were still present there anyway. We had a joint booth with our Slovenian friends from other board game companies, where you could get additional information about retail, licensing, late pledges etc.
Next year, however, we will definitely be there ourselves and look forward to meeting and talking with all of you!
We have also started back up with our regular board game nights, which we host at least once or twice a month. This month, six of us played Power Grid on the China and Korea maps, as well as Deep See Adventures, and we have to admit that it felt really good. After such a long time, it's really refreshing to play more board games again and we had a lot of fun doing it.
LIVESTREAM WITH ONESTOP CO-OP SHOP & CANJE
We were also kindly invited to be a guest in a livestream hosted by Canje Studios and Onestop Co-op shop, where Gal was able to talk about the game and its future, with a special focus on the modes SOLO and CO-OP. So those of you, who are most interested about those, definitely give it a listen. It was really a pleasant interview and many interesting information were given.
ART UPDATE + UPCOMING COMMUNITY VOTING
We have also continued working on the art of Hydra and Spellblade. We have an image of Hydra ready for you today and we hope you like the final design. You can also expect an image for the Spellblade sometime next week on our Instagram and Facebook ;)
After that we will be asking you to help us build the character Spellblade herself with her special abilities.
And finally, because we have one more community stretch goal that we have not touch upon yet, we thought this update may be a good opportunity to prepare all of you who wish to participate and help us develop this social goal.
SCENARIOS
As most of you know our SOLO and COOPERATIVE gameplay consist of multiple scenarios, each bringing you unique story, events and gameplay mechanics. Scenarios will let you explore and experience game in variety of different ways. We started with 10 Base game scenarios and managed to unlock 1 additional with stretch goal and 1 additional community made scenario with social goal. Those of you who decided to get yourselves Trinity expansion will get 3 more scenarios there. That makes for a total of 15 unique and fun scenarios to experience.
We will be uncovering those scenarios and devoting each update to explain and give you a sneak peek of one of them. For this update let us remind you of the two you should already be familiar with as they are available to playtest on Tabletopia.
1. OLM INFESTATION
"Times are dire for the three Kingdoms and you are tasked to slay the Olms infesting the lands.Beware of the poisonous areas spreading throughout the land, carefully plan your starting locationand help the frightened populace."
In Olm Infestation you will be playing in only 3 out of the 6 Kingdoms and battling only a level 1 monster Proteus Olm. Sounds weird, right? Well although we consider this scenario as introductory and beginner friendly, it can still be very challenging and very fun. As the time is running out, more and more areas will be poisoned, weather will be dire and you will have to make meaningful decisions to try and kill Proteus Olm monsters which will be spawning in different locations and destroying the land.
2. ASHGAR PLAGUE
"We are spinning back the tides of time and revisiting events not long ago after the Great Calamitythat has struck the land. In the south, in an old city of Ashgar, men have tempered with theunknown. The order of Natural Chaos has disturbed what must not be disturbed, unleashing theunthinkable in the process. Land has not seen such a spike in flow since the days of forgotten andresults are starting to show.Resist the flow, or guide it towards your cause, for resisting it completely may prove to be just asfatal. Answer the call of the south and defeat the monstrosities that lay there."
In Ashgar Plague monster hunters will start in the north and slowly make their way towards the south, where the epicentre of flow explosion is and where the situation is the most dire. Defeat 3 objective monsters to win. However, you and the area around you will slowly but steadily begin to feel the corruption of flow that is happening around you. Will the objective monsters get corrupted beyond your control and evolve into the beasts you cannot hope to defeat? Or will you take the corruption flow cubes onto yourselves, slowly lose power and potentially even die? Make these decisions and try to solve the puzzle of Ashgar Plague.
3. WARRING KINGDOMS
In this scenario the realm has bursted in an all-out mayhem. We are visiting the period of time when all of the 6 Kingdoms were constantly at each other's throat and we are trying to portray it through the Silver Coin's Scenario system of game play.
The goal of the scenario will still set you on the path of slaying monsters however you will be tasked to juggle between politics, gathering of information and successfully completing your missions all at the same time.
There will be a special Tavern board, where you will be tasked to complete up to 6 missions depending on the difficulty. Locations and monsters will be hidden and depending on your decisions they may eventually reveal. As the missions slowly move towards the right columns of the tavern board, monster level will increase to LVL 2 --> LVL 3 --> MISSION LOST if it falls of the 3rd column.
As you will be performing your preparation phase, Kingdom cards will play an additional role in the game... they will change your political affinity towards the 2 warring kingdoms. You will be able to choose between 2 kingdom cards and depending on your decision there will be variety of effects on the game.
1. Kingdom card will trigger the effetcs as it would in your normal game. But they may also trigger their alternative option. (E.g. Reputation symbol may improve your relationship with that kingdom)
2. Effect of this Kingdom card will affect your affinity towards both Kingdoms. You will gain +1 support towards the kingdom you chose and -1 towards the one you did not choose. This will also affect your game with various effects depending on where the bar is (more movement/more cards in your hand/etc. on positive bar and less movement/less cards in your hand/Mission bann/etc. on negative bar). So juggling your political affiliation may be just as or even more important than you building up your character to be able to complete missions.

Hey Hunters!
It has been a little over a month since our Kickstarter campaign and we bet you have been wondering what we have been up to. Most importantly, we have been able to take some time to spend with our families and loved ones. Nevertheless, we still had enough time to devote to our favorite activity, working on the Silver Coin: Age of Monster Hunters
There is a lot to get through today, and before we get to the updates, we would like to thank once again everyone who made it possible for us to develop this game. We will make sure that your trust in us will pay off.
LATE PLEDGES ARE OPEN
For those of you who may have missed the campaign or just were not sure whether or not to back it, you have not missed your chance yet!
We have opened up our Late Pledges so everyone still has a chance to get their game in.
Many of you have asked us about the date for the Pledge Manager. We expect to open the Pledge Manager around November. We want to get the latest information on shipping, fulfillment and manufacturing before we open it.
We will be using the Backerkit platform for the Pledge Manager, which most of you should already be familiar with. Otherwise, you do not have to worry because we will give you detailed instructions on how to use it. The PM will also be open long enough for each of you to complete it without any problems.
HUSSAR 3D MINIATURE MODEL
Our 3D artist also had his hands full last month. This is the latest of his works. Your newest character, the reward for the surprise gift Moon, which you have been looking forward to, has finally received his 3D miniature.
As you can see, he has a very unique and distinct figurine with a horse as its center piece. Let us know if you like the design. We are definitely very excited to try out this character in the game!
'MIND FLAYER' ART + NAME CHANGE VOTE
We also have an updated visuals for one of the two community chosen monsters. The 'Mind Flayer' now looks like this and is one of the more intimidating monsters. We have followed your suggestions and came up with this amazing artwork.
More importantly, you now have very important decision. Since we cannot use the name Mind Flayer as it is copyright protected, we thought of 3 alternatives. Let us know in the comments, which one should we go for!

The Mind Flayer's sheer size and ferocious looks send a chill down every hunter's spine, but the most dangerous feature of them all is the fact that it can easily manipulate the minds of the nearby creatures or even humans, who then act as its puppets to protect it.

Hey Hunters!
The first part of the journey has finally come to an end. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this tremendous support, all the feedback, all the ideas you shared, all the love for this campaign and most of all for being a part of our journey. It is only the beginning of our road and we hope you stay together with us in the future. We also sincerely hope that this campaign will be something you will carry with you and remember with a smile on your face.
At least, we know we most certainly will. Each and every one of you made this possible for us!
PROBLEMS WITH PAYMENT
For all of those who have or are experiencing troubles with the payment on Kickstarter these are the steps to follow. Know that this is normal for every Kickstarter campaign for a small percentage of backers. So hat to do?
Step 1: Contact your bank/Card provider. This way you can identify the problem and resolve it.
Step 2: If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact us in the coming weeks directly at [email protected]. We will make sure to create a work around for you together and enable you to receive your game.
PLEDGE MANAGER
We will start setting up the Pledge Manager in the coming weeks, as we want to do it properly, correctly and with the help of the Backerkit team. We plan to open it in a few months when the shipping information is more up to date and everything is ready for you.
LATE PLEDGES
Anyone reading this, who missed the campaign or did not manage to back use, we will open Late Pledges in the coming days, where you will be able to get your copy of Silver Coin: Age of Monster Hunters.
COMMUNITY CHARACTER
In the last update, you guys voted on which Spellblade design we should go for. You decided on design A, so we will start developing it further. We will also incorporate your suggestions and release another update in the coming weeks. Thank you for sharing your creative insights and ideas with us.
SURPRISE GIFT MOON
Finally, we can also reveal the long anticipated SURPRISE GIFT MOON, which we promised to reveal at the end of the campaign. We know how much you loved the additions of new characters in the game. Each gives you more options of immersion and an even bigger replayabilty. This is why this revelation will give each of you an additional character called the Hussar with their corresponding miniature, character and flow card.
Hussar is one of the characters which will help the newcomers get introduced to the game but is also one that is usually not represented in games. We wanted to add someone unique, which will give you a different feeling when playing, yet more simple to play. This is why we believe this is the perfect gift we can give you for the end of the campaign.

SOCIAL GOAL UNLOCKED
Hey Hunters!
We are in the final 48 hours and this is the time for you to share our campaign with your gaming friends, colleagues and family and spread the word. We still have so many things to unlock and this is the last 2 days to do so. You guys have been great so far and we can not thank you enough for that.
That being said, we finally managed to get 250 fans and 400 subscribers on our BoardGameGeek. Thank you for supporting us there. We will have a lot of community-created content there, as well as threads for questions about the gameplay or rules. But more importantly, we managed to unlock a new additional scenario that will be created by you! This will happen after the campaign ends and will take place in our BGG forum.
We are sure that this will lead to an absolutely epic scenario with many more hours of gameplay for you. We are really excited to see what you come up with :)

5TH SURPRISE UNLOCK
Today is the day we unlock our last bi-daily surprise unlock :D
This time we are adding 3 new improvement cards to the game. These are basically your items, special abilities or character enhancements that will make you stronger in the game. We now have more than 40 unique improvement cards that you can use to improve and equip your character.
COMMUNITY CHARACTER VOTING
Today we concluded three of our polls. When it comes to community made monsters, votes were pretty unanimous. Vast majority voted for the first 'Mind Flayer' design. For Hydra, you decided for the third, red-colored background. You have now told us the design direction for both monsters so we will be able to create a finished art after the campaign. Stay tuned for updates :D
And lastly the elephant in the room for the past few days, character voting. This was honestly one of the toughest and closest polls we have experienced and we really command the passion and excitement behind it. And as much as we'd like to leave it open even further, all votes need to come to an end eventually.
The final winner has been Spellblade. Congratulation Justin, we know how hard you tried, so it definitely feels rewarding to have your own idea featured in the game.
